MILITARY INTERVENTION IN VIETNAM
Martin Luther King is famous for his speeches about civil rights.
Yet his rhetoric on America's failure in Vietnam is less well known. It is important to understand history so we do not repeat it.
Martin Luther King offers a prophetic warning about the folly of the U.S. being too arrogant in foreign affairs.

WORLD FUTURE FUND GRANTS
If we are to deal with global problems, the whole planet needs to work together.
Our Global Education Project is deeply committed to the cause of constructive non-violent dialogue among world religions.
In pursuit of this goal we sometimes make grants to other organizations. Here is a project we helped finance in Pakistan.

REFORM AT THE U.N.
The current U.N. Security Council was formed from the countries that were victorious after World War II: China, Russia, France, the U.K. and the U.S.
However, these countries do not realistically represent the majority of nations in the world. Realistically, Japan and India should be given a seat at the Security Council.
If the U.N. is to succeed in solving global problems, it needs drastic reform to reflect today's political realities.
INTERNATIONAL DIPLOMACY AND REFORM
Below are some of our reports about America's international relationship with foreign countries, along with diplomatic solutions for peace.
QUESTIONS ABOUT DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA
After 9/11, many civil liberties have begun to dissolve in the name of keeping America "safe from terror."
There has been an unprecedented legal revolution to set up a state that has the power to electronically monitor its citizens via email and phone calls.
As well as a state that can indefinitely detain its citizens without trial.
Since these are alarming trends, we believe it is important to document and monitor such events.
NON-VIOLENCE
While World Future Fund doesn't advocate pacifism for all situations, we will say that violence is not always the answer to every conflict.
For instance, the ideas of non-violent protest on the part of Martin Luther King were largely successful in preventing a race war and set the groundwork for positive race relations in America.
Our reports below describe instances where nations or individuals had the courage to respond with compassion and justice in the face of violence.

ENVIRONMENTAL CRISIS - America's lack of commitment to foreign aid
America has put the most carbon dioxide in the atmosphere since the beginning of the industrial revolution.
Therefore, it has a great responsibility to participate in offering a solution to the current climate crisis before it's too late.

BOLIVIA
Many developing nations are beginning to speak out and offer their own solutions for the pressing issues of our time.
Bolivia's current president, Evo Morales, has offered many creative solutions for the global environmental crisis.
One of Bolivia's solutions has been to draft up a set of rights for Mother Earth. We include more information about this below.
Morales has recently presided over a G77 summit in Brazil, where 133 of the world's developing nations spoke out about issues concerning the environment and social justice.
