THE BRUTAL ANCIENT WORLD

WORLD HISTORY IS A STRUGGLE FOR POWER

In 323 BC the most powerful man in the world lay dying in ancient Babylon. On his death bed, Alexander the Great was asked, "who will you leave your Empire to?" and his answer was, "to the strongest." There's a lesson here, world history is a ruthless struggle for power. No it's not a struggle for freedom; no it's not the struggle for what Americans like to call "democracy," which frequently is nothing to do world history. World history is a struggle for power.

THE MYTH OF PEACEFUL ORIGINS

Now there's been a myth in the in the Western study of history that there was once a peaceful little world of everybody living in the forest so on and so forth. This is rubbish. It's a world that never existed. As the vision of the past is illuminated by archaeology, what we see is a ferocious world, a world of violence, a world of human sacrifice. This is the real world of the past and it has relevance, because as the whole plutocratic world order collapses under its environmental and economic mistakes, this kind of violence and terror will be unleashed on a global basis.

TODAY'S PEACE IS PROPPED UP BY A TIDAL WAVE OF VIOLENCE IN THE NATURAL WORLD

There's not a whole lot of peace today, but in so far as there's the appearance of peace, it's propped up by the wholesale destruction of the environment, in other worlds it’s propped up by looting the environment to prop up a totally unsustainable situation. It's also propped up by a huge house of cards of financial debt. So these are facts that we need to consider.

AMERICA'S SPRAY PAINTING OF THE PAST

In terms of looking at the past we ought to just consider a couple of really hilarious fantasies. Probably the funniest one was the view of the ancient Mayans. The ancient Mayans were a bunch of human monsters, it was a society filled with ritual torture and human sacrifice, but the American scholars after World War II tried to portray it as a land of flower power, peace and love; and even when they finally cracked the Mayan code and exposed what was going on, a lot of these great experts in America continued to deny reality.

You must constantly reevaluate the spray painting of world history with red white and blue nonsense and move back to the real view of history, the real view of what happened, and another part of red white blue nonsense is the lies about America's own heritage. America was based on one of the most brutal and ruthless campaigns of slavery, one of the most brutal and ruthless campaigns of genocide and racial imperialism. Indeed Hitler based his plans on what America did. America was Hitler's model. You don't quite hear about that in America, that doesn't fit America's self-image of itself as the world Savior bringing everybody its version of freedom and so on and so forth, but the truth is the truth and you can't hide the truth and you can't hide the consequences of the truth. These are facts that need to be kept in mind.

THE DIFFICULTY OF KNOWING THE REAL PRIMEVAL PAST

Now that there has been a certain amount of debate about studies of ancient peoples the anthropologist Chagnon and people like that. We can't get into the details of that, we don't know that, but chances are their studies of primitive people showing savagery are probably correct. One of the problems in studying so-called primitive peoples today is it's very hard to tell how primitive people are because what is their native culture and what is their reaction to a campaign of mass murder imperialism as by the developed world? So it's very very hard to tell what was their original culture since their original culture was frequently an oral tradition, no written records, before the imperialists showed up and started chasing them off into the jungle. So that's also an issue. But what we do know from the ancient records is a world of violence, a world of terror and this is what we need to keep in mind.

A LARGER PICTURE OF THE REAL WORLD

Getting back to the larger picture of the world today, we have to look at what's really going on as opposed to what is presented to be going on. What's going on is the largest mass murder history, the greatest mass murder since the Permian extinction 250 million years ago. It is this wholesale destruction of the environment that is propping up the American imperialist house of cards. Now when you look at the structure of American imperialism it's very important to understand that liberals in America are not to be trusted and if you look at some criminal lunatic like this character Kagan who's at the liberal Brookings Institution and this crazy article he wrote, according to him Americas just building a global utopia. Now if you read his stupid article you'll find out the global environmental situation is not even mentioned. Now that is not an accident for a number of reasons. It's not an accident because these people are mentally and morally depraved. It's not an accident because if you look at the thing in terms of common sense - obviously it's a total catastrophe, but it's an example of the delusion of these people.

THE FAILURE OF THE LIBERAL ELITE TO SOLVE WORLD PROBLEMS

Now you also look at a character like Hillary Clinton who sabotaged the global climate conference, the leader of the so-called group of 77 (actually hundred and 33 nations of the nations of the poor of the world) summed up her proposal very exactly - that Hillary Clinton it made a proposal that was so small in terms of aid to the poor that it wouldn't even cover the cost of the coffins of the dead. That's reality that's a statement about reality. America is dead last in aid to the poor around the world though it brags about being number one. In the case of a war criminal like Hillary Clinton, here's a person who has committed one war crime after another, from the invasion of Libya, to the invasion of Syria, to putting more troops in Afghanistan than the Russians, to the drone attacks and we go on for quite a while, but the important point to understand is this this person is a war criminal. Yes this is not some nice person - some wonderful person. So that's the background of the whole situation.

A BRUTAL STRUGGLE FOR POWER AND MONEY UNFOLDS

Now as the world situation unfolds, there's going to be a brutal struggle for power over money. America with its arrogance over the last couple of years has been using the manipulation of the economy - the world economy - as an economic weapon, specifically against Iran and Russia; and again the liberal elite have been congratulating themselves on how smart they are. Actually this is the height of madness because America's heavily dependent on world credit markets and if people are going to face the prospect of having their assets frozen or stolen if they loaned money to America obviously they're going to think twice about that.

PROBLEMS FOR AMERICA UP AHEAD

Now in the case of China, this is a completely dysfunctional situation. The relationship between America and China is an alliance between the plutocrats in America who allied themselves with the most murderous dictatorship in the history of the world to set up sweatshop factories and make higher profits. The problem is all this is a bunch of nonsense because it's lead to just staggering losses for America as a country in world trade. This cannot go on and America and China are on an economic collision course that cannot be avoided. They are also on an economic collision course in terms of the struggle for imperialism in Asia and the rather crude efforts of the Chinese to expand their imperial boundaries in the South China Sea and other places. All this sets the stage for further conflict between America and China, so what we have is growing conflict. What we have is the terror behind the smiles and this is not going to end well. It's going to become an increasing level of disorder. These are further thoughts
